When UFA celebrates its centennial in 2009, I believe our co-operative will be even stronger than it is today.

Community Investment

The men and women of rural communities built UFA. Our success depends on the sustainability and viability of rural life in the communities they call home.

Recently our member-owners, in overwhelming numbers, told us that UFA should concentrate our community efforts on two key areas: education and rural living. With that, we developed our community investment strategy called “Learning and Living in the Country”.

Learning
UFA recognizes the importance of education in maintaining vibrant rural communities. Continued investment in education will help to provide the next generation of farmers, ranchers, veterinarians and teachers to rural areas. We want to provide life-long, practical education to the people who build rural communities.

Living
Our ultimate goal is to build strong, sustainable communities. Investing in rural life will provide opportunities that will allow people to continue to live, work and play in the country.

Since developing our community investment strategy, UFA has been hard at work building new partnerships and retooling old ones. Click here to see what some of our community partners have to say about how our focused approach is making a significant impact on future generations and rural communities.
