Membership
UFA has over 110,000 members and is dedicated to assisting each and every one – as members of the rural community – in co-operatively purchasing petroleum and general farm supply products as economically as possible.
At UFA you are both a member and an owner. This ensures that you get the most out of UFA. We are committed to balancing owner profit with customer service so that you benefit from our decisions as both an owner and a customer.

How am I served as an owner?
- The right to elect delegates to represent your interests and to stand for election, if you so choose
- Your share of the co-operative’s earnings allocated based on your purchases made during the year, provided in the form of annual patronage refunds
- Equity, the investments you make in UFA, to reward the business you do with UFA
- Spring and fall owner meetings that help maintain our connection to owners and your priorities

Membership is open to anyone who holds a minimum $5 common share which can be purchased at the time of membership or accumulated through dividends earned on purchases from UFA farm supply stores or petroleum outlets.

Upon receipt of your membership request, your UFA membership card will be mailed to you. However you can begin using your membership immediately when you make purchases.
